CLUB UNITE SAND TRAINING PROGRAM with ABBIE

We are excited to announce this summer Coach Abbie from Carson Newman will be running a sand training program at the Carson Newman Beach Courts.

The program will consist of two practices a week, and a final in-house tournament! 

Where? Carson Newman Beach Courts in Jefferson City

Practice: Tuesday Thursday Times TBD (Players will train on the sand 2x per week-times will be determined once players email in so Abbie can work with school practice dates). 

Dates: July 3rd-28th

Tournament: July 28th

Price: $150 

Includes- Beach Towel, Club Unite Top, Practice, In-house Tournament

IF your daughter is in high school or middle school at the time, please include whether your school is practice in the morning or afternoon so we can create practice times that are based on the majority of when the girls are free.

May 26-28 Outdoor Event at Lakepoint Rally, GA

SouthEast Beach National Qualifier (up to 4 bids/age division) – May 26-28 – Register HERE

  • BNQ: The top four (4) finishing teams (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) in the Gold playoff bracket, per gender and age group, will receive bids to the National Open Division at the USA National Beach Tour Championships. Bids offered at BNQ’s will be determined on a tier system per division as follows:
    • 1 to 3 teams = 1 bid (1st Place only)
    • 4 to 5 teams = 2bids(1st & 2nd Places)
    • 6 to 7 teams = 3 bids (1st, 2nd, 3rd Places)
    • 8 or more teams = 4 bids (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Places)

     

    DRESS CODE/ATTIRE:
    Uniforms are not required. However, matching color bottoms and tops are encouraged. Starting in 2019, all athletes are REQUIRED to wear a top, for girls it must cover your midsection when standing, and bottoms such as spandex, shorts or leggings. No bikinis will be permitted for any team.

    All Players will need to fill out a Medical Release and bring to the event! Need one?
    **Price is $80/team and on April 28th the price will change to $100/team.**
    **There are NO trickle down bids at a BNQ**

SRVA Regional Championship– July 7-8

The tournament is listed as a 2-day event, with 12’s and 16’s competing only on Saturday (pool and bracket play), and 14’s and 18’s competing only on Sunday (pool and bracket play). Each team will play a minimum of 4 matches.

Divisions are separated age groups: 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U. You may play up in age, but not down. If we don’t have enough 12U teams for that division they will be pushed into the 14U division.

To register, you will need to have your USAV/SRVA member number. We will verify during check-in as well.

Red White & Rally AAU Super Regional 2018

June 30 - July 1

Before all the fireworks and hamburgers, join us for an AAU Super Regional. This is the last chance in GA to earn your bid to the AAU Championships in Hermosa. Always a great event, so sign up early.

High School Beach Challenge 2018 July 14-15

Let the Tradition begin. Grab 5 of your friends from your high school and the 6 of you will be compete representing your school in a Dual setup (like college). Between the 6 of you, you will create 3 pairs and compete against another 3 pairs that are representing another school.

  • There can be multiple groups from the same school
  • Players can consist of any student from that school, not just from the volleyball team
  • Setup will be 3 pairs competing in match play against another 3 pairs in a 1,2,3 college fashion.
  • Within your 6 your pairings can change between matchups

RULES...RULES...RULES

  • Rally Scoring: 2 games to 21, with third game to 15 (if necessary) or 1 game to 28 (rally scoring)
  • Block counts as a contact
  • No Open hand dinks/tips
  • One Toss per serve
  • Players may not "set" the ball or contact the ball with finger action in an attempt to play the ball when receiving the serve.
  • Any contact with any part of the net by a player's body is a violation.
  • Players handling the ball must set the ball in direction they are facing or directly behind them (shoulders squared) when returning the ball over the net.
  • Side Changes in multiples of seven (7) when the set goes to 21 or 28. Side changes in multiples of five (5) when the set goes to 15.
  • Time-Outs:
    1. Each team is allowed one time-out per set.
    2. In addition, one technical time-out is allowed per each set of 21 to 28 points. The technical time-out is not awarded to each team, but rather a shared time- out when the total combined score is reached. During games 1 and 2 that are played to 21 points the technical time-out is taken when the combined score reaches 21. There is no technical time-out in a set of 15 points. For single sets to 28 points, the technical time-out is taken when the combined score reaches 28.
  • Active coaching is limited to time-outs and in between sets and matches. In addition for the IBVL and Club Championships only, active coaching is allowed during side changes. The coach may not enter the court. The interaction must take place during the time allowed when players change sides of the court and play must immediately begin after the side change.
  • For the 10U and 12U divisions, all contacts that are hit overhand are considered a driven ball. The first contact may be received with multiple contacts (on the same attempt) or may take the ball with an open hand or set.
  • For the 10U division, servers my step onto the court to serve.
  • Athletes may wear socks or sand socks during competition.

  • Boys 18, 16: Net Height - 8';
  • Boys 14: Net Height - 7' 4"
  • Boys 12, 10: Net Height- 7';
  • Girls 18, 16, 15, 14: Net Height - 7' 4"
  • Girls 12, 10: Net Height - 7';

PLAYING COURT

  • All Divisions: 16 m x 8 m (52' 6" x 26' 3")

UNIFORMS

  • Girls: Athletes will need to be identified by a uniform number (minimum 2") on the back and/or front of the top (or an AAU temporary tattoo) in the following divisions: 14U, 15U, 16U, and 18U at the National Championships and West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games. Athletes will need to be Number 1 or 2 based on the alphabetical listing of the last name.
