Cadet Training is a fundamental group instructional session for players desiring to play club in the future. Cadets will learn fundamentals as well as team systems which will make them feel more comfortable when placed in a team environment. This is an individual training method which allows the player to learn the game at a deeper level while still learning team systems. Cadets are not on a team yet but are "in training" to be on a team.
Who is Cadet Training for?
The training provided in cadet training will not deter athletes of different skill level from learning due to the instruction provided to individual players. Drills / Instruction will be designed for each player to get plenty of reps and hear instruction about the system. We hope to broaden the players I.Q. of the game during Cadet Training.
Time: Cadet Training will take place each Tuesday from 5pm-6pm starting January 9th and running through May 29th.
Cadet Training WILL NOT take place the following:
March 13th Knox County Spring Break

Cadet Training is $40 per month (10$ per session). Players are encouraged to arrive at 4:50pm each evening to prepare for Cadet Training.
Players who attend Cadet Training may stay for the first session of Positional Training if they choose to do so and workout with D1 training of Knoxville on their vertical leap. Players may also choose another position to train with if their comfort level and skill level are compatible. Players who do stay will pay an additional $10. Our training hours are $10.00 per session. Parents can do the math to sum what their payment would be based on what the players is deciding to do.
Shannon Mincey will assess any cadet player who chooses to attend positional training. If Coach Mincey does not feel the cadet player is ready for positional training, she will speak with that athlete. All players may attend Vertical Leap Training with D1 of Knoxville from 6-7pm with no assessment from Shannon Mincey.
